Directed by Charles Jarrott. With Richard Burton, Geneviève Bujold, Irene Papas, Anthony Quayle. King Henry VIII of England discards one wife, Catharine of Aragon, who has failed to produce a male heir, in favor of the young and beautiful Anne Boleyn.

To my mind, one of the best books in postwar Yugoslav literature is Karlo Stajner's memoirs of the gulag, Seven Thousand Days in as I feel that barroom blather is the most appropriate format for "outspoken" ranting, so the memory is best served by memoirs, especially if they come from a witness who, though not a writer by calling, has a valuable, relevant store of experience.

The narrator and the writer of the "Book of a Thousand Days", fifteen-year-old Dashti leaves the plains where she was raised to find work in a nearby city after her mother passes away. As a person from the plains, she is looked down on as a "mucker", a low-class citizen, by nobility.

He journeyed by train, river and truck among the people most damaged by the breakup of the Soviet Union, traveling among Buddhists and animists, radical Christian sects, reactionary Communists and the remnants of a so-call Jewish state; from the site of the Reviews:   In its best, most lucent moments, “To Siberia” evokes the same reflective grandeur that made “Out Stealing Horses” burn so brightly, with the memories this time coming from a year-old.

To astronomers, Siberia provides the advantage of skies largely untroubled by light pollution and, in some places, cloud-free for more than two hundred days a year.
